UCC PRESIDENT LISTED AS AMONG CANADA’S MOST INFLUENTIAL ON FOREIGN POLICY
OTTAWA, Canada-March 28, 2012-Today Embassy magazine, Canada's Foreign Policy newsweekly, rated Ukrainian Canadian Congress National President as being among the "top 80 individuals influencing Canada's foreign policy."
Following interviews with government insiders, Embassy broke down the list which included politicians, civil servants, foreign diplomats, business representatives, academics, diaspora groups and NGO representatives.
The magazine's list included Paul Grod, National President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, and stated,
"A lawyer and head of an energy company, Mr. Grod since 2007 has led the UCC, which represents many in the 1.2 million strong Ukrainian-Canadian community, concentrated in the prairies. The Prime Minister last fall attended a UCC dinner in his honour, and his Caucus members are eager to attend UCC events to show support for the large and well-established Ukrainian Canadian community."
