А Gala Concert organized by the UCC-MPC to honour Taras Shevchenko was held in the Jubilee Auditorium this past Sunday, March 8, 2015 to officially end the 200th Commemoration Year. A commemorative booklet was also produced for this event. Cultural groups that performed at the Concert included: O. Koshetz Choir, Hoosli Male Chorus, Immaculate Heart of Mary School Children’s Choir, Verba Dance Ensemble, Prof. Myroslav Shkandrij, Simeon Rusnak, Ukrainian Bilingual Schools and both Winnipeg Ukrainian Language Schools.

An oil painting by local Winnipeg Artist Sinitowich-Gorski was presented to Deputy Mayor Mike Pagtakhan, who accepted on behalf of the City of Winnipeg.
