In the conditions of Martial Law Hryhorii Halahan Chernihiv Regional Art Museum continues to work, scientific researches prepare online exhibitions and projects, which we create for our visitors, in order to support them in this heavy period of time.
On the war actions Hryhorii Halahan Chernihiv Regional Art Museum answered by online art project “Inter arma”, within which are represented works of Ukrainian and foreign artists – Viktor Onyshchenko, Olena Sachenko, Nata Levitasova, Kateryna Vasechko, G. Luidgi Rossi. On the pictures are depicted ruined buildings of Chernihiv, which are dear to the heart of each of us, tragedies of Bucha and Mariupol, and together with these painful feelings to war and belief in the victory.
Kateryna Vasechko graduated from the Arts School and Maria Zankovetska Culture and Arts College. She works in Nizhyn House of Children and Adolescents. For almost 10 years, she created unique souvenir and portrait dolls. Her creations are in many countries of the world. In parallel, Kateryna painted watercolor and wall paintings and created illustrations for books, to poems by Lina Kostenko.
Bright pictures of the young Nizhyn artist Kateryna Vasechko. Artist depicts war, that, which hurts, and that, in what she believes… Her each picture is the separate life story – girl with cat in the ruined house, woman with tied hands from Bucha, portrait of the soldier in balaclava with inscription “Return alive”…
War changed the ordinary life of young artist and forced her with daughter to leave dear home. Kateryna continues to draw, she creates digital illustration on drawing tablet.
The pictures of the artist will not leave the audience indifferent and when the war is over will again be glad in the halls of our museum.
