On 21-22 June, the first World Congress of the Anti-Imperial Bloc of Nations took place in the Lithuanian city of Kaunas, which gathered delegates from the national liberation movements of enslaved nations of Russia and leaders of the anti-imperial front from other countries.
Delegates to the Congress were leaders of national liberation movements of enslaved nations: Tatarstan, Ichkeria, Bashkortostan, Oirat-Kalmykia, Cherkessia, Erzyan-Mastor, Buryatia, Karelia and others, as well as representatives of the World Congress of Ukrainians. That is why, during the panel discussion, ways of establishing cooperation between the associations of enslaved nations and Ukrainians abroad were discussed. Special attention was also paid to the discussion of the role of Ukraine as “Ramstein” for enslaved nations.
At the end of the work of the Congress, the “Kaunas Resolution” was signed, which defines the strategic tasks and principles of ABN activity. “Today, Russia is carrying out the genocide of the Ukrainian nation in the course of the war of aggression and is carrying out the genocide of the nations enslaved by it, through systematic oppression and assimilation, depriving them of their political, civil, cultural, social and economic rights. Therefore, our enemy is common. This is Russia, its imperial-colonial construction of the “prison of nations”, based on the misanthropic ideology of the “Russian world”. We declare a joint struggle for the right to self-determination guaranteed by international pacts, and for this purpose, we unite in the Anti-Imperial Block of Nations,” the adopted resolution reads.
The composition of the ABN Council was also approved and the President of the Anti-Imperial Block of Nations was elected. He became Oleha Medunytsia, head of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (Banderites).
“It is a great responsibility both to our glorious predecessors and to future generations, to lead the ABN in such a difficult time for Ukraine,” said Oleh Medunytsya. – But, at the same time, this time opens a unique window of opportunity for the enslaved nations to gain freedom and the collapse of Russia. The Anti-Imperial Block opens a new page of its activities. We are re-establishing ourselves as an international force capable of supporting the liberation struggle of the nations enslaved by Moscow, both in Ukraine and throughout the world.”
Vice-presidents of ABN were elected: Ruslan Gabbasov from the Bashkortostan National Liberation Movement; Aida Abdrakhmanova from the government of Independent Tatarstan in exile; Inyazor of the Erzyan people Syres Bolyaen. Also, Stefan Romaniv, Leontiy Shypilov, and Yuriy Syrotyuk became the vice presidents of ABN, and Oleh Vitvitskyi the executive director. The ABN Council also includes the heads of its regional committees: American, Australian, British, Caucasian-Baltic, and the Committee in Latin America, which is in the process of formation.
