UCC CONGRATULATES ROMAN BRYTAN

 
                                                               Toronto, Ontario-December 9, 2011. — The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) congratulates Roman Brytan on being awarded the prestigious Sierhey Khmara Ziniak Award by the Canadian Ethnic Media Association. Mr. Brytan is a well-known radio personality and is active in the Ukrainian Canadian community, including chairing the UCC's 120th Anniversary of Ukrainian Settlement Committee.
                                                               Mr. Brytan will receive the award at the Canadian Ethnic Media Association (CEMA) Journalism of Excellence Awards Gala in Toronto. The Ziniak Award, named for CEMA's founder, is given by CEMA for excellence in ethnic journalism is awarded to the person who through journalism has championed Canadian multiculturalism.
                                                               "Roman Brytan is a very deserving recipient for his decades of continued support for and contribution to multicultural media in Canada," stated UCC National President Paul Grod. "Roman's commitment to the Ukrainian community and to a multicultural and inclusive Canada are a model to us all. His leadership in this regard was on display this year as we celebrated the 120th anniversary of Ukrainian pioneer settlement in Canada where he successfully chaired the UCC's committee."
                                                               "On behalf of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, its Board of Directors and the Ukrainian Canadian community I would like to congratulate Roman and wish him Mnohaya Lita," concluded Grod.
